Moneybrother released his first album “Blood Panic” 2003 on Swedish label Burning Heart Records. BHR was home to then very successful bands like the Hives, Refused, Millencollin etc. When the German band Beatsteaks were looking for a supporting act for their first tour of the breakthrough album “Smash” in early 2004, someone figured Moneybrother would be fitting for that part. This was Moneybrothers first tour in Germany.
In the midst of the tour the frontman Arnim had to cancel Beatsteaks show in Cologne due to a sore throat. A gig got organized quickly at a random disco. There was only 4 people in the audience but luckily one of them was Viva TV-VJ Charlotte Roche. Not only did Charlotte suddenly appear on her show in a Moneybrother t-shirt the following day but she also played the debut video “Reconsider Me” three times in a row. Moneybrother could go straight back on tour and headline after that.
Moneybrother did sold-out shows and collaborations with big German names like Gentleman, Wir Sind Helden and more. He and the band played Hurricane, Southside and all the other major festivals. Moneybrother even had his own segment on the Sarah Kuttner show at Viva TV and performed multiple times.
